2013년 8월 20일, 여성연합 네팔 본부는 스페이스A-트러스트와 공동주최로 카트만두, 낙살에 위치한 평화대사관에서 ‘어린이 그림 그리기 대회’를 개최하였다. ‘세계평화여성연합’의 공동 창설자인 문선명 총재의 성화 1주년을 기념하기 위한 이번 대회는 예술을 통해 아이들의 잠재력을 키워주자는 취지하에 카트만두 지역 35개의 학교에서 200여명의 어린 학생들이 참가하였다.

심사는 미국예술대학에서 삽화를 전공한 새넌 포링거씨와 미술대학의 강사인 사울강가 다샨드하리씨, 네팔미술협회의 니라즈 카플씨가 맡아 주었다. 총 12명의 학생들이 수상 받았으며, 시상에는 하리 데비 쉬레스타 부회장(WFWP네팔)이 하였다.

Asia - Nepal: ‘Children’s Drawing Competition’

On August 20, 2013, the WFWP Nepal Headquarters co-hosted the ‘Children’s Drawing Competition’ with Space A - Trust at the Peace Embassy situated in Naxal, Kathmandu. The competition, held to commemorate the first anniversary of the Seong Hwa of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, co-founder of the ‘Women’s Federation for World Peace’, with the goal of nurturing the potential of children through art, was attended by more than 200 young students from 35 schools in the Kathmandu region.

The position of judges for the competition was taken by Mrs. Shannon Foringer, who majored in illustration in a University of the Arts in the USA, Mrs. Saulganga Dashandhari, an instructor at the Fine Arts Campus, and Mrs. Niraz Kafle, an artist of the Nepal Association of Fine Arts. A total of 12 students received prizes, awarded by Vice President Hari Devi Shrestha (WFWP Nepal).
