지난 10월12일, 여성연합 일본본부의 지원 아래 벨로루시 평화재단 비데브스크 지부와 여성연합 동북대륙의 공동주최로 벨라루스, 비테브스크 시의 컬처센트럴하우스에서 ‘평화의 다리: 벨라루스-일본-러시아 자매결연 행사’를 가졌다. 이번 행사에는 일본과 러시아에서 온 참석자 및 시관계자들을 포함 총 100여명의 사람들이 참석하였다.

올가 바쿨린스카야 회장(여성연합 동북대륙)이 기조연설을 주었으며, 일본 여성연합 대표한 스미에 시오타키 씨와 세계국가집회 (World Nations Assembly) 모스코바 지부를 대표한  마리나 필쉬코바 씨의 연설이 이어졌다.

이어 벨라루스와 일본, 벨라루스와 러시아 간의 ‘평화의 다리’ 자매결연 식을 가졌다. 러시아와 벨라루스에서 온 소녀합창단이 각각 ‘평화의 천사들’, ‘캐러멜’ 노래공연을 하였는데, 그들도 함께 자매결연 식을 참여하여 매우 감동적이었다. 또한 각 나라를 대표하는 축하공연을 끝으로 모든 일정을 마치었다.

이 날 행사에는 벨라루스 라디오의 기자가 방문하여 러시아, 일본 참석자들과 인터뷰를 하기도 했다.

Northeast Region- Belarus 'Bridge of Peace: Sisterhood between Belarus, Japan and Russia'

Global Women's Peace Network (GWPN) for the sake of a peaceful state and society

On October 12, 2013, WFWP-NER and the Belorussian Peace Fund, Vitebsk Branch, organized an intercultural program, ‘Bridge of Peace: Belarus-Japan-Russia’ at the Central House of Culture in Vitebsk City sponsored by WFWP-Japan. More than 100 people, including people from Japan and Russia, and city representatives attended.

The keynote speech on the GWPN was given by Olga Vakulinskaya (WFWP-NER President). There were very inspiring speeches by Mrs. Sumie Shiotaki (the WFWP-Japan representative), Marina Pilshikova (Chairperson of the Moscow chapter of the World Nations Assembly) and Belarus VIPs.

Then we had a sisterhood ceremony, the ‘Bridge of Peace’ between Belorussian-Japanese and Belorussian-Russian women. Young girls from Russia and Belarus sang ‘Angel of Peace’ and ‘Karamelki’, and it was very moving when they joined the sisterhood ceremony. We closed the ceremony with celebratory performances.

On this day, a journalist from the Belorussian radio came and had interviews with Russian and Japanese guests.
