미국회장 이취임식

2010년 3월 21일 미국 여성연합은 10년 동안 미국 여성연합을 이끌어온 알렉사 회장을 송별하고 새로운 여성연합 회장으로 안젤리카 셀리씨를 맞이하는 ‘취임 오찬’ 행사가 있었다.


알렉사 회장은 그동안 여성연합 미국 회장이라는 값진 경험을 할 수 있었던 기회에 무한한 감사를 표하며 또한 10년이라는 긴 임기 동안 본인을 지지하고 협력해 준 여성연합 회원 동료들에게 고마움을 전달했다.


새로 취임하는 알젤리카 셀리 회장은 지금의 굳건히 세워진 미국 여성연합을 통해 알렉사 회장의 힘과 용기를 본받겠다며 “여성연합은 여성에 대한 지지가 거의 없었던 정글과 같은 세상에 칼과 불을 가지고 뛰어들 강한 여성이 필요하다” 고 강조했다.


안젤리카 셀리 회장은 앞으로 여성연합 창시자이신 문한학자 총재의 따님인 문인진 회장과 함께 일하는데 대한 기대감과 함께 이런 뜻 깊은 자리를 마련해주신 감사의 마음을 전했다.

WFWP Welcomes Newly Appointed President at Inaugural Luncheon – USA


On the afternoon of Sunday, March 21, 2010, WFWP, USA said farewell to its president of the past 10 years, Mrs. Alexa Fish Ward, and welcomed its newly appointed president, Rev. Angelika Selle.


Mrs. Ward's speech was brimming with gratitude and appreciation for the opportunities she experienced, and for each who had supported her during her mission throughout the last ten years.


Rev. Selle then sincerely acknowledged the strength of Mrs. Ward in her building of WFWP, USA. "[WFWP] needed a strong woman who could go through the jungle with a machete and blaze the trail in a world where there was little support for women."


Rev. Selle expressed her excitement to work with In Jin Nim, daughter of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, WFWP's founder. She thanked In Jin Nim for putting on such a wonderful celebration for all sisters.
