지난 7월 28일 방글라데시 지부는 다카 지방에서 라는 주제로 제15회 부모의 날을 개최하였다.

세미나에는 교육자, 사회복지사, NGO관련자, 회원들로 구성된 약 80명이 참석했다.

방글라데시 지부장인 지낫 아라 부이얀 여사 (Mrs. Zeenat Ara Bhuiyan) 의 환영사가 있은 후에, 방글라데시 부지부장의 여성연합의 활동보고가 있었고, 3명의 고위관리여성들이 사회에 공헌한 것에 대하여 여성연합에서 시상을 했다.

주요인사인 골람 라흐만교수는 (Prof. Golam Rahman) 많은 예를 들어 부모의 사랑과 권위에 대해 이야기 했다.

주요 귀빈인 살마 칸(Ms. Salma Khan)은 가장 강력한 인간의 유대는 부모와 자식 간의 관계이며, 두 성 사이의 진정한 평등이 건강한 육아를 위한 조건이라고 말했으며, 부모의 날 세미나를 통해 참석자들은 육아의 핵심 소명이 가정들과 커뮤니티들에 있다는 사실을 인지하고 촉진하는 자리가 되었다. 이 날 촬영된 행사는 저녁 TV 뉴스에 방영되었다.

The 15th Parent’s Day Seminar

Women’s Federation for World Peace-Bangladesh (WFWP-B) organized the 15th Parent’s Day seminar titled “Parenting with Love and Authority.” on July 28 at Dhaka. The seminar was attended by about 80 people: educators, social and NGO workers, and family members.

After Welcoming remarks by Mrs. Zeenat Ara Bhuiyan (WFWP-B President) and WFWP activity report by WFWP-B secretary general, 3 dignitary women were given WFWP Award 2011 for their contribution to the society. As the main speaker, Prof. Golam Rahman (Dept. of Mass Communication and Journalism, University of Dhaka) spoke about parent’s love and authority showing many examples. As the chief guest, MS. Salma Khan (Ex. Chairperson of CEDAW, UN) stated that the most powerful human bonds is the parent-child relationship and true equality between both sexes is conditional for healthy parenting.

Through Parent’s Day seminar, attendants recognized and promoted parenting as a central vocation for our families and communities. TV reporter came to cover the program and it was broadcasted by television at night news.
