방학이 시작되기 전인 지난 6월 20일 도미니카 공화국 본부는 국립어린이청소년 도서관에서 ‘종이접기 전시회’를 가졌으며 학생들과 학부모, 강사 등 총 70여명에 이르는 사람들이 전시회장을 방문하였다. 특별히 이번 전시회에는 지역사회에 헌신하는 여성연합의 노고를 치하하는 부통령실 주관 시상식이 있었으며 세 명의 여성연합 도미니카공화국의 회원들이 수상했다.

현재 종이접기 수업은 7살~12살의 어린이들을 대상으로 진행하지만, 가을학기부터는 고학년을 위한 수업도 진행할 예정이다.

Award for WFWP Dominican Republic's Origami Class by the Vice Presidential Office

On June 20, before summer vacation starts, we had an Origami Exhibition at the National Library of Infants & Juniors. Around 70 people including students, parents and instructors came to see this exhibit.

A special award ceremony of appreciation for WFWP work for society was held by the Vice Presidential Office during the event. Three WFWP Dominican Republic members were awarded.

For now, we have classes for ages 7 to 12 years old, but from the fall season, we are planning to have a class for older groups as well.
